By Austin S. Camacho

The Piranha Assignment - Synopsis

THE PIRANHA is America’s newest super weapon – a stealth submarine that will give the U.S. total command of the seas. Built in secrecy in Panama, the Piranha is ready for testing, but CIA agent Mark Roberts feels that something is not quite right about the project.

Roberts asks for help from his friend Morgan Stark, an ex-mercenary who runs a personal security agency with retired jewel thief Felicity O’Brien. Their investigation of Francisco Bastidas, the head of the Piranha project reveals that he also runs con games for amusement.

When Stark and O’Brien join the Piranha security team to dig deeper into events at the compound they find that both the project and its leader are not what they appear to be. But to avert disaster and reveal the truth they must defeat an army of terrorists and survive a climactic battle with Rodrigo Herrera, a crazed giant who kills jaguars with his bare hands.

Early praise for The Piranha Assignment

"In The Piranha Assignment Austin Camacho displays as much command of action as he does of the urban underbelly in his gritty Hannibal Jones mysteries. Not content with being the next Walter Mosely, Camacho sets his sights on Vince Flynn and James Rollins, matching them both with this lightning paced, high stakes thriller that puts America in its cross hairs and scores a bulls-eye. A stunning triumph of both style and substance, The Piranha Assignment proclaims a shining new voice to be heard above the crowd."

--Jon Land, bestselling author of Strong Justice

"A real delight! Camacho treats us to a roller coaster of international intrigue, populated with compelling heroes, quirky villains and up to the minute geopolitics."
--Jeffery Deaver, Author of Carte Blanche

In The Piranha Incident, Camacho takes readers on a rollicking, non-stop action ride into the jungles of Panama and beyond. Mix two compelling heroes, international intrigue, a dastardly villain, and a cold-fusion-powered submarine, and you've got a can't-miss recipe for thrills. Move aside, James Bond. Take a seat, Jason Bourne. Morgan Stark and Felicity O'Brian are on the scene, ready to save the day!
-- Alan Orloff, author of the Agatha Award finalist DIAMONDS FOR THE DEAD and the Last Laff Mystery series, from Midnight Ink.

If you love TV's Burn Notice, you will definitely be enthralled with The Piranha Assignment.
It's one part spoof of government spies and 99% a real page-turner thriller. Austin Camacho authors a militant marvel. The author's own interesting background gives him plenty of fodder for many more thrillers.

"A compelling novel of international intrigue and adventure. Like the other "Assignment" books in series, a definite page turner!" -- R. Barri Flowers, criminologist and bestselling author of MURDER IN MAUI and THE SEX SLAVE MURDERS
The Piranha Assignment reads like hard-boiled Ian Fleming, it has all the larger-than-life villains, sexy ladies and high-caliber action of classic spy novels but with a bad ass attitude."
